I think at this point every day, there’s always a new beauty release. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up, but the beauty junkie inside of me gets so giddy going in to Sephora to purchase new beauty products!! Speaking of Sephora, I believe the beauty insider and VIB sale is happening next month and I definitely plan to purchase some products. That’s going to be my treat after I finally file my taxes (I’m always last minute). In my last post, I shared that when Spring comes around, it’s time to do a little bit of Spring Cleaning to your beauty products so you can make way for new products! Let’s dive in to the products I’m lusting over this Spring!
If you guys looked inside my shower, I can imagine you guys telling me thatI do not need anymore body care or skincare products for a while. But I’m so obsessed, I just love trying new products!
I have been curious about Summer Fridays ever since Marianna Hewitt (one my of favorite bloggers by the way) announced that she was coming out with a skincare line with her friend Lauren Gores. The Summer Friday Jet Lag Mask is perfect for in-flight because of the invisible layer it leaves. I wish I had this mask when I was on my flight to NYC. I didn’t tell you guys I was stared at by another passenger on my two hour flight to NYC from Atlanta because I decided to use a sheet mask? No kidding, he kept looking over at me until it was time for me to take the mask off. Not only that, but this mask is formulated with clean ingredients and it hydrates the skin! I have heard nothing but good things and I’m looking forward to more products from Summer Fridays.
This product isn’t new, but I finally finished a sunscreen that I spent a lot of money on and didn’t enjoy I’m ready to try something different. It’s super important to incorporate sunscreen into your everyday routine or look for products with sun protection. Even though I’m not as consistent with it, I’m trying to be this year. Glossier’s Invisible Shield is honestly everything I’m looking for in a sunscreen. One of the issues I have as a women of color, is looking for a sunscreen that doesn’t leave a white cast. Glossier’s Invisible Shield has a clear consistency and it absorbs into your skin.
I have been dying to try this when I saw another blogger post about it and gave her thoughts. I have always wanted to transition in to using a natural deodorant but I haven’t found anything I liked. Once I saw that it was back in stock, I went ahead and ordered two of them! Be on the lookout for a review from me! It smells so good and I love the packaging!
I don’t really have a lot of haircare products that I am looking to try, but my hairstylist recommended the Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3. My hair is prone to breakage and I have been looking for a product that’s going to help strengthen my hair. Especially since my hair is color treated. I have read the reviews and I’m looking forward to purchasing this product! Also, it’s under $30!
This is the perfect eyeshadow palette for me! I like to stay within my comfort zone when it comes to eyeshadow looks and the shades in this palette are my typical everyday shades.
In the warmer months, I tend to go for lightweight complexion products. They are comfortable on my skin and when you’re out and about, your face doesn’t feel cakey. The reviews on Sephora.com are pretty good so I have to give this a try!
