How to: Red Lip look for New Years Eve
New Years Eve is almost here the grand finale of Holiday Season and you can never go wrong with a red lip look. Today I'm going to be showing you how you can easy red lip look.
1.) Prep your skin
Before any makeup look, you want to prepare your skin. For primer, I use the Maybelline Master Prime. You should always use a primer before every makeup look. It provides that protective barrier you need between your skin and the makeup that you're applying.
Before doing your red lip, you may want to exfoliate your lips. In this Kim K look, it look like she has a matte red lip color. Matte colors tend to dry out your lips. You can exfoliate your lips by using a toothbrush or fingers with brown sugar and olive oil, to have nice smooth lips before applying your lip color.
For this look I will be using one of my favorite foundations as of late and its the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless. This foundation is perfect for a night on the town while it keeps your skin matte, and it's full coverage.
I like to brighten my under eye with a concealer that's a few shades lighter than my skin tone. I have been using the Maybelline Fit Me concealer under my eye. In my opinion, this is comparable to the Nars Creamy Concealer. It doesn't crease and it doesn't give off those chalky concealer marks.
I like to set my foundation and concealer with a mattifying powder. Especially for nights like this, I want to ensure that my makeup will stay matte the entire night. My all time favorite powder is the Makeup Forever Duo Mat Powder. This powder controls my oils, and I don't have to touch up for HOURS. It also provides a great amount of coverage.
For my brow looks, I stick to my favorite Anastasia Beverly Hill Brow Wiz. I love this product for a long lasting natural look.
To contour my face, I have been using the Black Radiance Powder a couple of shades darker than my skin tone to give myself that chiseled look.
I'm apply a liquid eyeliner. My favorite liquid eyeliner is the ELF liquid eyeliner. for $2 bucks, it's a great liquid eyeliner and its long wearing. I'm going to complete the eye look by applying false lashes and mascara.
I will be applying matte lip products to tie the look together. (Tip, if you don't have a matte red lip, you can apply your lip product, place a piece of tissue over your lips and dust setting powder to get that mattifying look.)
I hope you guys enjoyed and maybe you have an idea on what makeup look you should do for NYE.
