Travel Diary: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Hey guys! I'm back with a travel post. My birthday was this past Saturday and I went on a little getaway to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was so excited for this much needed vacation.

Even though the year just started, I felt like I needed to take a vacation.

I was so excited about this trip because I take any opportunity I can to go to Florida. Last weekend, I was stuck in the house because of an ice storm in the area and this past weekend I was in sunny Florida!

I flew in Friday evening and stayed in the Las Olas area. Las Olas Blvd is beautiful by the way! Filled with shops, restaurants, and bars. This is definitely the place to be if you're near this area.

After I settled in to my hotel room, we went to a Cuban restaurant nearby named Coladas. They had the best Cuban sandwiches! And the bacon wrapped plantains were soooo good!

Saturday Afternoon, I spent the day at the Galleria Mall. This mall was kind of disappointing to say the least, but I was glad to get out and explore the area.

Saturday Evening/night I hung out on Fort Lauderdale Beach to see the beach area and have some drinks. We had drinks at the Hilton on Fort Lauderdale Beach and I had a great time.

For dinner, we ended up going to another Cuban restaurant/food truck (I forgot the name) but they had some really good steak tacos!

Sunday, I just relaxed until it was time for my flight!

I hope you guys enjoy travel diaries, I do have more to come!
